Essex Country Show 2011 - 25th Anniversary 10th & 11th September
What was once an Essex farming family's informal gathering of half a dozen steam engines is now the largest event of its type in the South East, with an average of 35,000 visitors for the last 5 years. The show, with an emphasis on agricultural history and rural crafts, is now in its 25th year. On the weekend of the 10th/11th September BHR1287 joined Phoenix Divers Ltd for the 25th anniversary of The Essex Country Show. The weather was not forecast as good, wet and windy I think was the description, however it was windy but did not rain for which we were thankful. As you can see from our photographs there was lots going on from a horse plough to more up to the minute adventures of helicopter rides. Steven, Peter, Chris, David & myself had an exciting but tiring couple of days raising money for our charity and broadcasting to the crowds. Jacqui |
